About Us
LlandeiloBookshop.com is the official website of Books On The Green. We have over ten years experience in the book trade, starting with our first bookshop in Dorset on the south coast of England. Our main interest has always been in buying and selling selected second-hand and antiquarian books, both through a traditional bookshop and on-line world-wide. We moved our business to West Wales over seven years ago and have been trading in Llandeilo now for over four years.
Our shop is situated in the popular and picturesque hill-top town of Llandeilo in the heart of Carmarthenshire. We are just opposite St. Teilo's church, where the historic Llandeilo Gospels Exhibition is open to the public. Access to this beautiful Tywi Valley town is easy from the M4 or from the more scenic A40 route. We hold a selected second-hand stock of over 7,000 ever-changing titles, including:

Many of our new books are generously discounted, and these include Esoterica, Biography and Philosophy. We always change and increase our new stock over the busy Summer and Christmas shopping periods. Not all of our stock is listed on the website, so please ask us to check our shop's bookshelves.

In the side annexe to our shop we also have for sale original art, modern art prints, local postcards, greetings cards with local scenes and engravings, and local prints. These will be added to the website in due course.
Our services
As an independent bookshop in a small rural town, we pride ourselves on the quality of service and selected stock we have to offer. With years of experience in the book trade, we leave no stone unturned! Our customers enjoy a friendly, personal service. We know our business and our stock is carefully selected. We are here in our shop most days to advise and answer any questions, process and place orders, make recommendations and replenish our inventory etc.
We have accounts with all the major UK mainstream book distributors, including some of the more obscure publishers as well. We can therefore order any new book which is in-print, including all new Welsh language/Welsh interest titles and facsimile editions of key historic texts. There is no extra charge for this service. If you live nearby you can collect book orders personally from our shop. If you live away, we will just ask for the normal postage amount. By shopping with us you are helping to support a small rural economy and community.
